Human–Machine Interfaces

Narendar Gogurla and Sunghwan Kim design an energy tattoo system by printing carbon nanotube electrodes on a silk protein nanofiber mat that can be imperceptibly interfaced with human skin. Each individual element on the skin acts as a primary interacting device for human-machine interfaces to read the tactile movements of a fingertip through triboelectric phenomena.
